Wonders of the Universe

                                                              The Universe

is 13.7 billion years old.

spans a diameter of over 150 billion light years.

before the BIG BANG, or (Planck Epoch), the universe was smaller than an atom!

a 2010 study by astronomers estimated that the observable cosmos contains 300 sextillion (3×1023) stars!

the current diameter of the observable cosmos is thought to be about 93 billion light years.

the first stars started developing about a million years after the BIG BANG.

the OLDEST star in the universe is HE1327-2326 and is believed to be around 13.7 billion years old!

our sun developed about 4 1/2 billion years ago.

it is believed that a supernova jump-started our solar system.

there may be an infinite number of universes!
